UP Scholarship Programme

The UP Scholarship Program supports practical internships abroad for students of Palacký University, specifically in countries outside the Erasmus+ programme countries.

Eligible Applicants

• Open only to doctoral students enrolled in an accredited doctoral program at UP (full-time, part-time, or distance).
• Students must remain properly enrolled at UP for the entire duration of the internship.
• Internships cannot be carried out after graduation; post‑graduate internships are not allowed.
• Priority is given to students who have not yet completed a practical internship.

Internship Requirements

• The internship must take place in:
  • companies, training centres, research institutes, hospitals,
  • preferably in scientific research institutions, international organizations, or Czech diplomatic missions abroad.
• Host country must not be an Erasmus+ programme country.
• Duration: 1 to 12 months, between January 1 – December 31, 2026.
• Must be full‑time work (minimum 35 hours per week).
• No bilateral agreement (IIA) is required, but the internship must be pre‑arranged and approved by all involved parties.
• Holidays during which the host institution is closed do not count toward the minimum duration.

Additional Conditions

• Start date = first required presence at the host institution;
  end date = last required presence.
• The internship may be extended or shortened if all parties agree.
