On Monday 6th February, the UP Office for Mobility successfully started the Orientation Week for exchange students in the summer semester 2022/2023!
We have prepared a tight programme for more than a hundred students who came to Palacký University from all over the world. After a short opening speech by the vice-rector for internationalization and the introduction of Palacký University, colleagues from the Welcome Office, Accommodation Office, Sustainable University and Akademik Sport Centre gave the students an insight into important university facilities. Student volunteers from ESN UP Olomouc then prepared them for non-university student life in Olomouc and a lecture about the Czech Republic based on historical and cultural facts, in turn, on cultural differences that they might encounter during their stay in Olomouc.
And what awaits the students in the next few days? We will guide them through the administrative and academic nooks of the university, ESN UP Olomouc will show them important facilities of the university and places in Olomouc, we will teach them the basics of the Czech language and, with the help of the Police of the Czech Republic, we will advise them on how to stay out of trouble during their stay.
